This year,
Maha Shivaratri will be celebrated on February 24, 2017 and all the devotees of mahadev are very eager for to celebrates this Maha Shivratri Festival.
On the day Of Maha Shivratri, Devotees takes Fasting and performs Worship for Mahadev/Shiva/Shankar.. they are get blessing from Mahadev after done this worship and vrat for Shivaratri, 2017.
Mahashivratri fasting and Maha Shivaratri Vrat starts from morning of Shivratri and ends next day morning or the Amavasya morning. there are many things for to do fasting (Upavas) which are described here
Before the day ago from Shivratri, which means day of Trayodashi (13th Day of Phalgun) devotees are starting Vrat for Shivratri, on the day of Trayodashi they should eat one time in a day, and on the day of shivratri devotees are take full day fast and next day of shivratri are take food.
Devotees are go to visit Mahadev /Shiv Temple, and Devotees are performed four Prahar puja which means four times puja during at night of Shivratri, devotees are doing four times Shiv Aarti and Shiv Puja during night of Maha Shivratri at all Mahadev Temple, and its time schedule are fixed for Shivratri Puja which are done on Nishita Timing, and its Shivratri puja times are listed with Nishita time format in below.
--> Bhagvan Bholenath ka vrat rakhnewalo ko pura din upvas karna chahiye
--> Upvas me Bhakto ko Pahle Subah Jaldi Uthkar Bhagvan Bholenath Ke darshan Karne Chahiye
--> Darshan Ke samay shiv ko jalaarpan Karo, Dudh aur ghi aevam Panchamrut se abhishek Karo.
--> Dopahar Ko Jo Bhakt Pura DIn Bhukha Nahi Rah Shakte Woh Log Farali chij kha sakte hai.
--> Farali me Kele, Farali CHavanu, Dudh Ki bani Item, Farali Shira etc.
--> Dopahar Ko jisne Khaya ho Usse Sam ko nahi khana Chahiya varna vrat tut jata hai.
--> Achchha Thoda Sa Farali Nasta Kar Sakte Hai.
--> Dusre Din bhi subah nasta ke pahle Shiv ko Namaskar Karna Chahiye
